A changelog tells you what a competitor’s roadmap actually was, not what their marketing says it was. The gap between those two things is usually where the useful signal lives.
Look for what shipped together
Features that ship in the same release often share an underlying bet, even when the release notes don’t say so. Clustering changelog entries by release date, not by category, surfaces strategy faster than reading each line in isolation.
